Admissions to Reception 

Three of our Federation schools - Upton St Leonards, Nailsworth, and Bisley Blue Coat, are voluntary controlled. Admission Arrangements are therefore dealt with by Gloucestershire County Council. Please see details on arrangements at School admissions | Gloucestershire County Council 

The total Admissions Number for The Heartwood Federation is 90 pupils:

The Published Admissions Number for Upton St Leonards Primary School is 60 pupils (30 pupils per class)

The Published Admissions Number for Nailsworth Primary School is 30 pupils (30 pupils per class)

The Published Admissions Number for Bisley Blue Coat is 12 pupils (mixed aged classes)

One of our Federation school - Oakridge Parochial School, is Voluntary Aided therefore it has its own admissions policy.

The total admissions number for Oakridge Parochial School is 6 pupils (mixed age classes)

In-Year Admissions

We understand that children may need to join our Federation's schools at times other than September and at ages other than 4 or 5 for example, if you are moving schools. In this instance, we would encourage you to make contact with us and organise a visit so we can discuss arrangements for starting school. We have plenty of experience of welcoming families to our community throughout the year.
